I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect toner for my skin, and Graydon Face Food caught my attention for its promises of providing the glow I need. Graydon Face Food is a mineral mist and toner all-in-one that’s formulated with white tea, magnesium, copper and zinc. It claims to balance your complexion, rejuvenate your appearance, mattify your skin and protect your skin from environmental stressors. All amazing ingredients with presumably awesome skin benefits. But did it live up to the test? After using it for almost three months, here’s my honest and accurate review.

About the Product

Graydon Face Food comes in a sleek, clear packaging. The actual spray provides and even mist and didn’t get stuck throughout the duration of my usage. I paid for it at a relatively hefty price of $49, and it’s available at on their website and on Amazon. It has a fresh unassuming smell and I was initially excited to try it out.

Additionally, the product ingredients include Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Magnesium Chloride, Copper, Silver, Zinc Chloride, Malachite Extract, Phenethyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, Triethyl Citrate, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Extract.

For reference, I have oily, acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation that I’ve worked hard to get rid of over the years. My skin has been pretty calm lately overall.

So I used the toner after cleansing, both morning and night, and simply sprayed it directly to my face in about three spritz. As I said, $49 toner for only 3 months ($16.33 per month), which might be a bit expensive for some people so let’s get into how the toner/mist performed.

Performance and Results

After using it consistently, I noticed that my skin felt hydrated and less oily. It’s very gentle and feels like a refreshing way to start of your skin routine. I will say it gives a bit of a luxurious feel. It did a great job of balancing my skin’s pH immediately after cleansing without drying my skin out and prepping my skin for the remainder of my skin care routine. However, I didn’t notice any changes in my hyperpigmentation, I still got pimples occasionally and the plump firm effect of the toner wasn’t enough to justify the price tag.

Pros and Cons: List the highlights and drawbacks of the product. This helps readers quickly evaluate the product’s strengths and weaknesses.

Pros:

  • Luxurious feel
  • Hydrating & Moisturizing start to skin routine
  • Gave a plump and firming effect overall
  • Did keep my skin relatively matte throughout the day

Cons:

  • No significant changes in skin condition (if you have any hyperpigmentation or inflammation issues like acne, don’t expect this to make much of a difference)
  • Pricey for the amount of product – expect to pay $196 a year for this toner if you do

I would recommend this toner for all skin types, the ingredients list is short and it contains no pore-clogging irritating ingredients making it perfect for those with sensitive skin and anyone looking for a gentle, hydrating toner. If you have very dry skin I probably wouldn’t get this product since you might want something way more moisturizing but if you have oily, normal, combination or slightly dry skin, this product should satisfy your needs and properly prep your skin for other products.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Graydon Face Food is an okay toner for anyone looking to hydrate and balance their skin without irritation. It does the job of prepping the skin and has some nice perks but for $49, I would expect something a bit more transformational in my skin care routine. I’d give it 3/5 stars and would probably not repurchase due to the cost. I have tried toners and mists that had more remarkable results for less. If you do want to splurge though, it wouldn’t hurt to give this product a try. I just expected a bit more and for it to last a little longer considering the price tag.
